MemberI’ve never heard of the system they apparently have in Denmark, but here in CA, most rods go Ultra light, light, medium light, medium, medium heavy, heavy, extra heavy. or something to that nature.
Basically, walk into Wal-Mart, pick up a rod, shake it around a bit, and think to yourself, “yeah, that’ll huck my 1/2 ounce egg sinker and power bait 50 yards out there.”
I don’t think there is a true standardized system like in fly fishing, but I’ve been wrong before and will be wrong again.

MemberI finally got around to putting a few days work into the van. Been fishing and working to much and I’ve neglected my new pimp-mobile.
Here she lies, Ford econoline… Ballin like my SF Giants!

Pretty stealthy, except for the pervert m.o. and a few stickers for flare.

Oh yaaa, no windows.

First step, honor hippie artifacts from previous inhabitant. The whole van was covered in good time.

Second step, add plywood floor, insulation and sheeting. It’s pretty ghetto, but will be like the taj mahal along a steelhead river in the dead of winter.

Next, make sure to throw enough balls to tire out your construction partner and keep her happy.

Build your raised platform. Sleep on top, storage underneath.

carpet if you wish.

Go fish. Don’t worry about campsites, motels, getting up at 2:30 to hit the hot river.

Cheers to winter!
Edit, I plan to add a few more fishing friendly modifications to her, such as rod racks on the inside, possibly a roof rack for a pram and a few other goodies as they come up.

MemberI do wish it was longer, of course, but it’s very well put together and quite a bit of awesome footage for the short film length, not a lot of filler.

MemberFor big quantities of food, I like barrel smokers. For my college graduation party, I did 28 half chickens in 2 barrels. They are old smuckers jam or juice 55 gallon barrels with coals in the bottom and meat hanging in the top. 1 hour 20 minutes for chicken to perfection!
Throw in a keg of Sierra Nevada Crystal Wheat and some of your favorite beans… Good times!

MemberApologies, Dusty…. A misspelled word… as I do often… pudelpointer is the correct name and spelling.
The are awsome upland dogs… very intense and driven in the field. Great family dogs that have hair, not fur, therefore no shedding.
