There is a lens I miss from my sony lineup and it was a Zeiss. I’ve not had a lens since that could bring out the blue in the sky like that one did.

Twas a great year for us. Many fish beyond 20 and a few approaching 40. I’m after the 50 mark but have been getting bored with the chase lately. Musky season is about to be upon us and with the rains I’m thinking I can once again gain access to the remote sections of rivers I love to fish. I’m thinking what the Striper do from now on is not going to concern me much!

I’d test the 50′ heads out first. I cast Integrated lines 95% of the time I fish and I didn’t like them.

The demand is high for a quality fishing app like this… It could potentially solve alot of puzzles about fish behavior and weather patterns over the course of a few years.

Forget paper this is the smart phone age. However, none of the apps I’ve seen so far look worth the price to get them. Should be stupid easy to make a good app that captures date, gps, fish pics , text entry,

    Well done, both of you!

Douglas I’m with ya. I don’t keep one on my lens either. Shallow DOF often doesn’t work well with alot of what I shoot outdoors so more often then not I need the light. To me it’s just one more thing to have to think about and with todays camera complexities I already have enough to think about before I open the shutter.

I do always keep one with with me as well as a few ND’s, and one gnd plate. About the only time I use them is when I’ve got plenty of time to frame a shot and plan exactly how I want it to look. Usually I’m shooting from a tripod when I use them.

Aren’t most outboards made mostly from plastic,  cast, and Aluminum?

At 20′ with zero visibility you better be well trained and using scuba if you attempt to find and haul it up.  Someone with a high def graph could most likely locate it and get the GPS on it.

This is a good friend of mine in Chatanooga. Good price I think.

    Thanks!

No worries there David! Timber Rattlers are well known for their mild disposition, unlike some of the species in your neck of the woods.

Again, I was never even remotely close enough to get bit. A good 16mp sensor crops nicely.

Thanks Zach, yea I was using a 70-200 from most of the shots. Ive been around snakes and handled them most of my life. I know very well how fast they can be and how far they can reach. I was always at least 10′ from this guy.

    in reply to: Histogram #72671

I use it often. Most recently when I was doing some maternity shots with lights and I wanted to be sure things were in good shape. Since the preview in the LCD is JPG and I shoot RAW i don’t always trust the preview. The histogram is always right.
