I’ve not had that problem Zach. It just works for me. The entire thing is made of SS and Brass. If it starts to look bad just clean it.

The cuda is a great vise as well. Congats.

Comparing an old screw style Traveler to a Barracuda is a little skewed.

This is more alone the lines of the barracuda though it’s fit and finish put the cuda to shame. 🙂

I’ll own mine till they throw me in the ground.

We’ve had 20 follows between two of us during one trip. Follows are one thing, getting those finicky bastards to eat is another matter all together.

    Looks awesome Zach.

I didn’t mean to cast a bad shadow on the Imacs. They are great machines,, but there are alot of complaints on mac forums concerning these dark spots. I’d want an answer as to what it was and if it has been corrected before I’d buy another one.

I’m already seeing some burn in on my 09 imac and I’m not alone from what I’ve read. They have a tendency to get hot and leave what look like dirty spots.

I heard a rumor that there have been thousands of cases of chicken lice reported from using these feathers. Chicken lice are much harder to see then human lice but 1000 times more disgusting.

Tell your friends, we need to stop the spread of chicken lice before it becomes a pandemic.

The Leader loop?? I don’t know the name but I think I saw Lefty tie it once. The perfection was IMO not very strong. I was seeing alot of breaks at the knot. This knot I use  now you take a large loop and double it twice then pass the loop through the doubled loops. Not easy to explain but it holds like a sob.

I use Rio loop connectors to make loops on the end of all lines that don’t have one. I also us the Castwell when I’m out and don’t have any of those loops. The nail knot system is going to eventually pull apart your line usually separating the line from the core. Even the Castwell holds better then a nail.

My system is really simple. Bimini for joining backing to line is a must! Easy knot Zach take time to learn it. Its easier if you get someone to show you how to tie it. Loop to loop connects my 20 pound vanish fluro leader to my fly line. If my fly line doesn’t have a loop then I install one on it.

There’s nothing quit like a good ole southern tailwater bath to drop the core temps on a hot summer day.

Triple articulated big ones that look like 2 pound skipjack.

A little video montage I put together last year.

Dave we don’t have a shortage of nasty rivers around here either. The Ocoee, Nantahala, Upper Caney Fork, Tellico, just to name a few. I’m in now way in shape as a paddler to take on any of those rivers. I hope to get there in the next few years though.

And yes, these are all fly caught… There are a few folks on this forum who can testify to the complete insanity we encounter with these fish on the fly.

Nope that is my youngest. My oldest is attending UTC getting her Nursing degree. I wish she could have been there too. I’m picking up a couple of the Jackson Coosa’s and plan to use them to yakpack some rivers this fall. We’ve been gathering all the lightweight camping equipment and all that’s left is a couple of Thermarest pads and maybe bivy sacks. Can’t decide if I want to use my tent or just pick up a couple Bivys.
We’ve also been playing around with lots of packable food ideas from here and youtube. Can’t wait to get the boats!

    Agreed! Very nice.

That’s how we roll. Work all day and fish all night. Got no time for the Whorvis look.

I have the g3 convertibles and I’ve been very happy with them going on three years now. No leaks despite my lousy treatment of them.

Zach I can’t stress enough to be good with your boats GPS before you head out in the marsh.
