Finally got the Kayaks out yesterday for a fun float down the Stones River. It was cool as hell to see some of the pieces of river I used to fish as a kid again. The fishing wasn’t a big priority today but I managed to sneak in a little here and there. Here’s a few pics from the trip. Photos are from a $60 waterproof P&S…
Her first boat!

Lots and lots of gorgeous uncrowded river to explore. Some class II mixed in as well…

This was alot scarier then it looks. But the lowhead dam was the highlight of the trip. Neither of us flipped but I came close. Watching my 13 year old face her fear and take on some class II water all alone was priceless. If you have kids this is a must! can’t believe I waited this long…

The fishing was good and I wasn’t even trying. Can’t wait to go back and do it again. In all we floated 10 miles I think. It was a hoot and we met a few other boaters who warned about the rougher sections. Really nice folks. IMO this is a much better time then Trout fishing in the summer crowds. May start running some trips here soon. Got a new sponsor Jackson Kayaks, who is going to help me out in that regard…
