MemberIt looks like the max size for photos is about 600 wide. Mine a several other posts get cut off and you have to use the scroll bar to read them. Sometimes the scroll bar is way down the page which makes it a pain. No big deal just thought I’d ask.

MemberThanks Scott I’m not that concerned with hiding I just like the Camo pattern. Good fishing shirts are hard to find. I do have some of the Columbia shirts and they work just fine. BTW this company does have a guide program.
Mike Anderson
MemberBryan they aren’t the best looking fishing shirts I agree there. I really like this Orvis Caribbean Camo Shirt but at $80 +tax I’ll have to pass :-/. Orvis……….

Does the shirt perform well? Doesn’t feel clammy on hot humid days, dries fast, buttons don’t cause a problem with your line, etc. Are the pockets well designed? Would you buy from them again? Sorry for all the questions but I hate buying clothing online sight unseen.

MemberI don’t do stingers anymore. Tried it and all they did was foul up.
When I was using live bait I never needed stingers. Yea I missed a few but I caught more then I missed.Mike Anderson
MemberOk Zach you opened this can of worms not me.

MemberTim I can’t see the images (work related IS build POS computer) I wanted to share with you one of the neatest ways I’ve seen big poppers used for giant flies. To make this fly a large body of EP, Deer hair, Flash, long feathers, etc, etc, is built up a little behind the eye. Once the body is all built the popper head is reamed out so that it slides over the built up material (sneaky Pete style). Once you have it reamed out it should hide the material build up, then epoxy everything with a thick coat of whatever you use for epoxy. I like Loon hard head.
Fished on a floating line assuming you can cast it on a floating line it would make that V wake that’s so enticing to Muskie. I’ll try to find a picture of what I’m trying to describe. The one I saw was about 12” long.

MemberI agree with Bob. I have four of the older ones and they are awesome reels. I wouldn’t pay half price for a beat up one though. Ebay.

MemberReverse is very slow at best. It clogs with grass all the time. Slow speed operation is a pain and dangerous. In the fall it sucks leaves and won’t run. Gravel gets hung up in it and screws up everything. No steering if the engine dies underway. You lose 30% of you HP at the jet foot because of the 90 deg turn the water has to make from the intake to the nozzle. Its soo loud you’ll need ear plugs. Gas hog. I’m sure I missed a few.
This is what I was told about jets for years, which is why I took so long to buy one. People talk out their asses a lot you know. Yes there are some issues to deal with and if not set up properly they can be a pain but what they can do is priceless if you like to run rivers and go where fish aren’t being pressured.
Mike Anderson
MemberRight after the Brown Run.
Mike Anderson
MemberThis model is made for a jet only. it doesn’t need a jack plate because they build the transom up higher. This means you can’t run a Prop job on it, though I can’t imagine why anyone would ever want to.

MemberRain on this system means FISH! I’ve only had one fishless trip in several years when there was rain falling. I broke a couple of rods and some other bad stuff happened so I’m pretty convinced I was paying back the fish Gods for something I’d done previously…
I also like fog, wind, dark, fast current, anything that makes it hard for them to see me before they see my fly.Mike Anderson
MemberHere are some boat pics for those who asked.

MemberZach, I don’t know about Rio but the SA lines I’ve used were not as good as the Oris. The one I used had a clear running line (mono core) and it had a lot of the same tangle issues you were having. I’ve tried a few different shooting heads and I’d still pick the Orvis over them all.
I’ll go ahead and say it, that airflo line you had was 100% pure crap. I’ve never seen line that bad and Airflo should really consider pulling it off the shelves if they even still sell it. My Orvis lines last for years, in fact the only reason I’ve had to get rid of one was because my trolling motor cut off most of the head. It was four years old and you’ve seen how I use them and abuse them. I’m sure there are other good lines out there but I’ll stick to one I know is good and last a long time.
Mike Anderson
MemberI know Orvis has a Depth Charged line but I was not aware RIO had it too. I use the Orvis every
