    We finally got some cloud cover and rain today and it was more then I could stand. I headed out with David in search of Striper. He wanted to learn to cast shooting heads so I spent a few min getting him familiar with how to cast them and he was doing it in no time.

    Rain on this system means FISH! I’ve only had one fishless trip in several years when there was rain falling. I broke a couple of rods and some other bad stuff happened so I’m pretty convinced I was paying back the fish Gods for something I’d done previously…
    I also like fog, wind, dark, fast current, anything that makes it hard for them to see me before they see my fly.

    Mike, I wish I would have my gear with me and I could have slipped out of the office. Looks like another good day.
