MemberThanks Tim. It wasn’t as bad as it looked last night. This morning was pretty scary but no damage to report. One more round this afternoon and we’ll be out of it.
If any of you guys like to watch weather the app on itunes called Radar Scope is awesome! It’s about $10 but worth every penny and more if you spend much time outdoors. It gives you acess to real time radar data from most of the radar towers in the US. It also shows towns, major hwys, draws boxes where there are warnings, and also your exact location.
I also like the Wx alert app that acts just like a weather radio that is always active and sends audible warnings to your phone.Mike Anderson
MemberGood luck finding info on the web about it but basically USACOE or TVA or the feds agreed to pay for stocking of cold water fish to mitigate the native fish killed off by the cold water discharge and the constant rising and lowering of the rivers below the dams.
Mike Anderson
MemberI agree that the states who benefit should be funding the lions share as well. What I’m not certain about is what happens to the mitigation money that the COE/TVA/Fed Gov owes each state for the damage done to native fisheries by building the dams. That money shouldn’t dry up no matter what.

MemberIts all hardly used, if at all…
BTW put the 50 aside I’ll take it.Mike Anderson
MemberCanon actually went down in MPs on the G11 and G12. the G10 was around 14 and the newer G’s are around 10. I assume they did this to improve the high iso.

MemberMusky fly.

MemberI’ve been playing with some airbrush on some Musky foam flies also. I looked for that system you have but couldn’t find it. I’m not sure now if I want to go that route or go full out airbrush. I started with the testers kit and aerosol can.

MemberThanks!
Chad the Loons showed up some years ago. I can’t pinpoint the exact year but they are relatively new to this area. I’m looking for a nest site for a photo/video idea.
The Stones has a great run of Hybrids you just have to time it right. Right now is a good time to start looking as a matter of fact. Our season has been awful so far. About the time everything gets right a major weather event happens with 3 or 4″ of rain (usually on thurs or fri…) and completely blows our river systems out. It’s been brutal so far.

MemberFor a P&S a G12 or S95 would be my choice. For a starter DSLR I’d look for a used mid level body with low shutter actuation’s from POTN, Fred Miranda, KEH, etc, and some high end glass.

MemberWOW.
For the first time my body is worth alot more then I paid for it.Mark IV

MemberMatt I have it on my Supreme and I love it. It isn’t indestructible but damn near. Some plastic 5min epoxy is all that you need on the rare occasion you scar it.

MemberThanks Adam. I could do without the metal flake but that was the only way they came. Mine is the 48″ bottom with 60″ beam.
Mike Anderson
MemberJohn and Jay mine will float/idle in 3″ if the bottom is clean and no grass, etc. Running the rule is if it isn’t sticking out of the water I can get over it. Alot of times I can ride the wake I’m pushing over stuff that can’t be 1″ deep. Can’t do that for long though. Has to just be a short bar or something. I also have Line-X on the bottom of mine so I can get a little crazier…
They are very stable. I was casting off the deck while in surf at Bahia. It’s also just as stable with three people in it as it is with one.
The biggest limitation I’ve found is running wide open in heavy chop. It’s a flat bottom boat so it’s rough. I don’t fish places where that’s an issue very often so it’s no big deal to me. When we need to run across the lake in April and May we’ll just take J’s Maverick.

MemberI’m not sure if it will fit your purpose…but a river jon might work for you..The dont draft much water, work with a prop or jet, or oars…and they are very comfortable fishing platforms.
You can’t beat em for tailwater fishing, or lakes, or wild Musky Rivers, or even the backcountry in the FL Keys. If there is one boat that can and has done everything for me this is it.

MemberThat’s sweet Abe.
Jarrod and I (ok, mostly Jarrod) have been working on one for me the last few weeks using Rock Maple. Can’t wait to get it completed.
Mike Anderson
MemberVery nice Jay! Are you using a flash and a snoot?
Mike Anderson
MemberI wasn’t trying to minimize the disaster over there at all Will. I work for a Japanese company so I’m directly involved with the people in need of help over there in one way or another on a daily basis.

MemberLooking at some lenses on Ebay and amazon it seems prices are rising already. Just sold my 50D, maybe I should have waited…. I’d say if you want it you better start getting it.

MemberNice work Neal. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Henry.
