    And we found em.
    Running 70 to get there.

These guys can help locate fish. They can also help not locate fish sometimes. Never the less I’m always glad to see and hear the Loons on Priest.

This is what we came for!

A chilly ride home through a cloud of bugs at 75mph!

Wow I never knew there were loons at Percy Priest. Then again I never spent any time on the lake, just riding at the BMX track.

Looks like a killer way to spend an afternoon. I’m jealous!
I went in search of them running up the Stones River a few times but never could come across any at the few wade fishing spots I found.

    Thanks!

Chad the Loons showed up some years ago. I can’t pinpoint the exact year but they are relatively new to this area. I’m looking for a nest site for a photo/video idea.

The Stones has a great run of Hybrids you just have to time it right. Right now is a good time to start looking as a matter of fact. Our season has been awful so far. About the time everything gets right a major weather event happens with 3 or 4″ of rain (usually on thurs or fri…) and completely blows our river systems out. It’s been brutal so far.

Summer fishing on the Alabama River is for me all about fishing for hybrid. Glad to see other folk enjoying it too.
