    Hey Folks,

Steven here. Just moved to central PA from Seattle a couple years ago for work. I’m in product development for a sportswear company.

    Hey Patrick,

Nice looking fish. Love the underwater shots. Just curious, what type of camera did you use?

Not to derail the thread but,
Jason what part of PA are you in? I’m in central and it seems that I see deer all of the time.
Granted, I’m new to the area so I can’t compare with the past.

    Hey Felid,
Go to itunes and look up photoshop video tutorials in the podcast section.
Should be lots of free help there.

    Good Luck.

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for the welcome!
Lived in Seattle for most of my life. Only been in PA for 2 years. I live in State College and work near Lock Haven. It’s been great exploring all of the trout water around here and it’s nice being close to the coast for stripers. Was just in your neck of the woods on the little J. Seems like one of the few spots that stays cool enough this time of year.
    Best Regards

Gotta love night fishing. I’ve only tried a couple times. Found that I missed a lot of fish using a mouse pattern. Have heard since then that you should try and not set the hook right away like a normal strike. Supposedly and, particularly with a mouse the fish will try and stun it or pull it under by the tail to drown first then circle back around to inhale. Has anyone heard that?

I knew this board was going to be dangerous. You’ve inspired me to look into 3wt glass rods.

    Thanks Zach,

Just passing through for a trade show.
I go twice a year. Snowboard in the winter and fish in the summer. However this will be the first time that I have managed to get on the river in the day light.
My home waters are central PA. Anyone on the board near central PA?

I had the chance to wet a line in Reykajavik. Completely by accident. Not an actual planned fishing trip. Got stuck there on a long layover and there happened to be a fishing store close to the hotel. My brit friend whom I was traveling with still jokes about the name of the shop … “perfect tackle”. I think you might have to be a brit to get the joke.
Anyway they let me borrow some gear to try for sea run cutthroat in the harbor within sight of the shop. Didn’t catch anything but it was a great way to kill a couple hours.
Since then it has peaked my interest in the fishing possibilities in Iceland.  Alot of it private or protected water , but extremely remote and a terrific fishery.
Good chance that I’ll schedule a longer layover next time through and explore.
Kerguelen looks like it could be Iceland’s (less populated) twin in the southern hemisphere.
