MemberI used to fish for stripers between 11:00 pm and 3 or 4 am with a friend who was a Friends (Quaker ) minister. I think we went out that late so no one would hear him swear when he missed one . Virginia east coast fishing at it’s best.
Have fun with it.

MemberThanks for the report. I’ve been interested in fishing the savage for a number of years now and will make it happen this year. I read ,a number of years ago, that there were cutts in the Savage. Has anyone ever picked one up or was it just a rumor?

MemberAdams ,ant, eh caddis and peach bugger. The adams especially.Use them everywhere in the east and used them out west when I ran out of gray drake pattern. on Slough a few years back, we were slaying them and a few guys fishing nearby asked what I was fishing. When I yelled over ,”an Adams”, one of them said loud enough for me to hear, “no they’re not”. loved it.
I can’t seem to catch anything on an olive bugger.steve gallas

I’m not sure that I agree with you , Zach , about needing to go to the 2500.oo price range to get an exceptional stick. I think the uniformity and consistency in bamboo among different makers trying the same taper is a crap shoot but not impossible to get some very nice rods at a decent price. I have a Nunley

MemberI’d second the suggestion for Tower.Nice variety and an abundance of fish. You could also hit the Yellowstone after fishing Tower and go after some big fish. If you want a tough hike in with some potentially excellent

MemberAquastealth studs ,at least the LL Bean version ,will kill you on large slippery rocks .After two nasty falls I switched to Borger’s boots( i think Weinbrenner) .The only advantage the aquastealths have is on mud and snow.
