Nice pics Brett.  Good to see your girl is enjoying the fishing.  Hopefully she won’t mind hand-me-downs from Dad (I have a general idea of your fishing worth, hahaha).  Good luck in the Keys, post some pictures of your trip.

good for you Brett. That’s around the age that I started my two sons. They’re like night and day. One burns water and the other will work a fish forever.Have fun being the guide.

    Hey Neal

She already has taken ownership of the sage/bauer 6wt combo pictured with her.

Brett…great photos…and glad to see another father introducing this wonderful sport to their daughter.  We have a two year old that is already quite interested in “feeshing”.

Suggestions for a small grip fly rod…how about a Japanese Fenwick fiberglass rod?

These rods are quite popular on the Fiberglass Flyrodders website…and the price is right as well.

PM me if you have any questions.

Postscript…the other thought would be a custom build on a blank that you like and ask the builder to do a smaller grip on it.

To find a good builder in Houston I would suggest identifying a local BB and asking around on there (or maybe a local fly shop).
