orvis battenkills are nice little reels for the price. forgive the blatant plug but I have an older Lamson LP-i in excellent condition spooled with SA wf 3wt line you can have for 100.00 shipped.
Ross rhythm is on sale in the 1 to 3 wt for 100 or so. A great deal at either Bass pro shop or Cabela’s . I always get the big box strores mixed up.

if you’re in Billings,2 hr ride will get you to the top of the Beartooth mtn pass. Interesting fishing there or head down the Wyoming side and fish some water on the Chief Joseph highway.

There’s an outfitter in Cooke City that will take you there.For the life of me I can’t remember their name but you might be able to get it by searching Cooke City. horesback outfitters are going in there all the time. I’ve hiked in already but wouldn’t recommend that. I usually just walk into the 2nd meadow.The ranch that’s up past there is the only one allowed to use carriage/wagon etc,to get back and forth.
