What I’m referring to is waaaay overpriced stuff like $400+ rain coats, $700 waders, $12 box of “fly fishing” sinkers, $100 spool of fishing line, you get the point.
Last I checked you can get a decent pair of of waders for $80 (hodgemen wade lights) sure they will probably only last one season instead of two but are the simms really gonna last 7 seasons? Plus the market is so saturated with raincoats that you can spend as little or as much as you want (My top of the line commercial fishing coat was about $100).
I won’t buy any piece of outdoors gear unless I can use it for many things (exception being flyrods) and it is at least 50% off or under $50, anything else is pointless

a blood knot is basically 2 cinch knots, just tie a cinch knot and then thread the other end through and spin the first around in your fingers then finish the knot and put the first tag end in your teeth then pull… Or just use double sourgeons which is way easier 😉
