I’ll certainly be stretching now before casting… you can bet on that… although, how hard it’s going to be to take 10 minutes to stretch while I watch fish rising… will probably be equally as painful.. I suppose I can just take 10 minutes to scout fish… and stretch…

    Mine is really bizzare…

I can lift anything, can rotate the arm/shoulder and touch the back of my neck.. no pain…

I don’t know about elite, but pain yes, gonna tape my cast as soon as I heal & look for form problems.

thanks everybody, I’ve spent the day isolating the arm & its some better.  Also grabbed a massage.  One of the docs is my fishing partner, but wrong specialty as I’m not pregnant.  I’m taking Mobic (meloxicam) for other issues.  Anyway I also was suprised that I couldn’t find much on fly casting injuries.  I’ll email & check out the links.  Other doc is a world class radiologist, but I’d rather avoid MRI etc.  Again, wrong specialty.  I’ve got a trip booked on Wednesday, so I’m gonna RICE it and cross my fingers, guess this could be an opportunity to work on the weak arm casting.

    One other thing, I’m casting a new rod, & throwing a 6wt line with a 5wt rod.

engadget has a hands on review with photos of a standard SLR body mounted to this thing, you gotta see it!

John, have you looked at the nikon 80-200 AFS VR 2.8? (sigma makes an AFS non VR that’s not too awful bad (about $900)) That should do it… VR really does help sometimes… 1-2 stops in real life…

Zach, no doubt… that’s exactly what I’m saying… before the D200 you had the D70 and the D100 in the “pro-sumer” price range, and they were both “pro-sumer” cameras… great cameras..

An SLR with no mirror.. hmmmmmm….. I’ve played with the live preview… I guess it’s OK.. but I really would rather look through the viewfinder… the image represented on an LCD never seems to be what my eye sees through the lens (exactly)…

Zach, I agree.. we’ll see it in our lifetime… BUT…….

Capture technology has a LONG way to go before this becomes a reality that you can hold in your hand or is in a similar form factor to a SLR.

Even 8GB CF cards at UDMA speeds will fill up extremely fast at 24MP x 8FPS… bump that to anything over 15FPS at 24MP and you are gonna have issues…

And non-solid-state isn’t going to cut it.. even 10,000 RPM drives aren’t going to keep up.

I’m pretty sure the high end Nikon’s are using a NIKON developed CMOS sensor…
