Cameron hooked me up with a 7ft 5wt glass rod that I took up to a stream last week.

One of my friends is a guide on the Reef…when he first suggested 3x with the tiny flies I thought he was crazy.

Had a great time in the south…Cameron was a great host, and I definately enjoyed some good southern food!

Even though I rarely get to fish warmwater, it was quite enjoyable, especially fishing the glass rods.

Although I have had good luck with the Oakleys that I wear on a daily basis, for fishing I wear a pair of Sunbelt polarized glasses that I picked up at my local shop.

    MD,

Access to the Reef is decent…although not as wide open as you would like.

I second Morty’s thoughts on the Reef…I would highly recommend fishing it, and it will be fishing well that time of year.

After much thought, I went with the Fishpond Blue River chest/lumbar pack.  You can wear it several different ways, and has a lot of pockets and cool features, but it is still fairly small.  Pretty fair price as well.  It has a cool strap system that will zip into the rear of the pack if you don’t need it.

Thanks for the feedback…I was looking at some of the Fishpond packs in the shop and became impressed with the design…the shop is bringing one of the Simms packs in on order, when it comes in I’m going to compare it side by side with the Fishpond, and go with the one that seems best.
