Bad weather has had me stir crazy so I started tying some seaducer variations and then decided to try an articulated fly. This is pretty much a rip off of the Galloup style flies but instead of deer hair or wool, I tied in hackle. Others may have done this before but I haven’t seen this. I am callingit Seaducers Spawn. Looks great jerk stripped in my swimming pool!

Cool Peter, would love to see some pics! I ended up midging all day Saturday and never tried the seaducer. May give it a shot next time.

Great tutorial Neal. I have been using your technique for the tail to prevent fouling and it seems to work really well.

I will go ahead and throw mine up even though it is not finished. I was inspired by Andrew and Zach’s epic thread on their project boat.  I found a 15’4″ not too far from where I live and started some mods.  I added rod holders through the from seat and a front casting deck.  everything is glassed in.  Now I need to finish sanding then get to painting.  Oh yeah, I still have to find a motor.  Will be used for bass fishing (fly rod only) and I hope I can haul it down to the LA marsh to chase some redfish.  Here are the pics:

I fished with Alec Griffin a couple of weeks ago and had a blast.
