MemberI have a big head (just over 8″ hat size) and it is TOUGH to find a “One Size Fits All” cap that fits my head.

MemberFor what it is worth — Read a post from JimmyT on another site that the fish measured 38″ and the fish had no hooks in its mouth or gullet.

MemberI don’t know. I read on another board where the mount of this fish will be on display at the lodge near where the fish was found (Stetson’s). If I had found the fish (and it was fresh and not bloated), I definitely would pay for a mount of it. I know a few guys that have found B&C roadkills and have gotten them mounted for cabins and what not and that doesn’t bother me so long as they don’t pass it off as an animal that they shot.

MemberI don’t know. I haven’t seen this fish. The guy that shot this photo was Jim Traylor and actually saw the fish. He called to tell me about the fish, and said it was definitely BIG.
Here is a picture I found on another site of Rip with his fish…..Rip was an older man, so my guess is his frame was smaller than the gent in the first photo.

I haven’t seen the Collins mount or replica that I can remember…..but I might have.

Who had the biggest crowd or the “oh you gotta check out…..” factor of the show (not party)?

I feel for where you are coming from, I was just giving an update because someone asked (and I have gotten other emails regarding the same).
Matt Tucker
MemberHere is the update.
Nothing.

MemberMy thought is that I can build a frame with mounts for lights, backgrounds, etc that is somewhat portable and offer the ability to alter light placements.

MemberZach,
I agree with you on the reason they leak.

MemberI don’t want to hijack your thread, but have your (or anyone else on the forum) ever thought of putting “skid plates” on the bottom of your pontoons.

MemberSorry guys — I stand by my comments regarding the bag and my disappointment therein. The bag was zipped up on the back deck of my drift boat. The waterproof compartment that was marketed and advertised as waterproof did not work. The bag was marketed as a bag that would keep your gear “dry” as evidenced below by the many retailers — as you can see in my video, my gear was not dry. Plain and simple the bag did not keep my gear dry and the waterproof compartment was simply not waterproof (and if it claims to be waterproof, I would assume it would keep my gear dry).

Here are a couple more reviews / ads on this bag, and you can see this bag was definitely marketed as something that would keep your gear dry.

I had been fishing the Nofork the same weekend as the bamboo get-together for several years, and finally made it over that way a couple years ago.

MemberMy names Matt Tucker. I just turned 30 and am married to a saint for 10 years this August. We have two daughters (11 and 5) who are also saints. Like another guy that posted, I am fortunate enought to have a wife that knows the outdoors resets me and is pushing me out the door when she senses I need a reset. I live in High Ridge, Missouri which is about 30 miles southwest of the St. Louis Arch on the Mississippi River and am a partner in a small commercial steel fabrication comapny located in Sauget, Illinois (i look out my office and see the Arch) where I answer to just about any name / title. Our company of 25 employees fabricates steel for commercial buildings under 5 stories.

MemberEric, congrats on the Iowa bow tag and it sounds like you are hunting on private property (good move).

MemberI was a deer hunter first, and found fly fishing only through cutting class in graduate school.
I got my undergraduate degree in Kirksville, MO (home of some bruiser deer) and spentt plenty of time in the woods with a bow.

MemberI don’t have the combo units yet, but have considered getting one.

MemberYeah, Kris is a good guy. I fished with him when he lived back in Missouri on several occassions and we still keep in contact occassionaly (when either of us have a fish or two to brag about). Definitely seems to be fishin’ enough though, compared to when he lived in MO.
As far as where we salmon fish. Last year was the first year that I did it, but we ran up to Wisconsin and fished the Root River and Pike River and were really trying to target Lake Run browns. There was 4 of us in our group and we all caught at least 1 salmon (although they were far from fresh) and Tim caught a brown that probably went about 8lbs or a little bigger. This year we are going a little earlier in the season and hoping to catch some fresher fish. It is definitely a full contact sport in lower Wisconsin with no manners what so ever on the stream……actually reminded me of fishing a Missouri Trout Park…..
