I took it to Midwest Marine Fiberglass in High Ridge, MO (about 5 minutes from my house).

    Matt:

Shame on Dave’s Boats! I talked to Dave afterwards and he said he was needing to find someone in the area to do fiberglass repair. So it looks like he would not have been any help to you anyway, but a return call to you would have been courtesy.

Glad it worked out well for you. Enjoy it on the river. Not a bad investment, drift boat bro!

Yeah, Kris is a good guy.  I fished with him when he lived back in Missouri on several occassions  and we still keep in contact occassionaly (when either of us have a fish or two to brag about).  Definitely seems to be fishin’ enough though, compared to when he lived in MO.

As far as where we salmon fish.  Last year was the first year that I did it, but we ran up to Wisconsin and fished the Root River and Pike River and were really trying to target Lake Run browns.  There was 4 of us in our group and we all caught at least 1 salmon (although they were far from fresh) and Tim caught a brown that probably went about 8lbs or a little bigger.  This year we are going a little earlier in the season and hoping to catch some fresher fish.  It is definitely a full contact sport in lower Wisconsin with no manners what so ever on the stream……actually reminded me of fishing a Missouri Trout Park…..
