Thanks for the link JT, looks like great material and a neat technique. The fuzzle technique is a a bit different but I see what you mean, especially with the leech pattern.

The Simi Seal leach has been my go to for about a decade.
I like the butt-over concept but I think I’ve seen that marketed. Big EVA clown-nose looking things, like those foam fit-over grips for reel handles that came out a while back.
I want to say I’ve seen ’em too, but they were lame. I’ve got a Beulah 6 weight with a fighting butt on it that is, as some say, the solid nuts. I would sleep with that rod if my wife would overlook it. My favorite feature is the butt. I don’t want to sound too much like Sir Mix a Lot, but it’s big and round and it just works. If I could put that butt on all of my 5+’s, I would…
It would add to the cost a bit, but if you can find a boat with a tunnel hull, you’ll likely benefit from it in skinnier water.

You guys are right – that’s the first time I’ve fished the Clouser line and it will shoot like crazy through the guides with not a whole lot of effort.
I’ve been fishing the Clouser line on my 6 weight Beulah for a couple of weeks and it’s a cannon!
