    Just curious – why?

I prefer bucktail, but spanish, blues ect.. will trash flies pretty quick if they are made of bucktail, I always use flash-n-slinky clousers when fishing the beach for those fish. Polar fibre make a good looking clouser also.

Stay away from ETHANOL fuel — Ethanol fuel in or around water will cut your engine life SIGNIFICANTLY.

It’s getting hard to find non-10% ethanol up here in Atlanta, I’ve switched over to 10micron filter and am running ringfree and yamalube ethanol stabilizer. I have not had any issues so far, other then it cutting out a little last night, hope this is not the start of a problem.

Andrew, It’s a good idea to keep your gas tank as full as possible, and keep it sealed up good, the less humid air moving in and out of your tank the better.

I poled my boat for the first time this past weekend, It took a little while to get use to, but once I did, it was fairly easy.
FYI- I did not order a pole in time for my trip, so I used an aluminum pool cleaning pole, you can get a 12′ one at walmart for $20, I got a 16′ at a pool supply store for $30. It ended up working really great, and it’s pretty light, all you need to do is plug the end so mud will not fill it up.

Nice one Zack. That answered a lot of questions I had about the FFF CI testing.

Jamestown has a ton of fiberglass/gelcoat “how to” videos on youtube. Here’s a link, you’ll have to sort though them to find what you want, but there are alot of good ones.

Also West system epoxy puts out a pamphlet on fiberglass work, most West Marine stores have them for $5

Spencer, I hope its not my rods that look hideous 😛

I started building my own rods to save money, and it has turned into a hobby. I find myself at times not liking some crazy grips, I have tried not to get to crazy with mine.
