Love it! And Simon is right. There are no fish on the South Island… 😕

Very nice Tim and glad this trip with your pop didn’t end in the ER!

Thanks for the input John. These were blown off at the ranch and it was darker than the inside of a cow out so it made it tough from where I was standing to get any fore or back ground in the shots. I think if I were to do it again I would try and get closer as well but that might require me getting a wider angled lens too. I also thought that maybe if I was a little more elevated it would have helped as well.

Not so good John. Way below normal for this time of year. The experts say it is going to change though…I hope they are right!

I know that stream!  🙂 Greig and I walked it last year on the way to his trout cottage. Amazing little stream in plain view. Well done Simon! Happy New Year Mate!

Top notch Stu! Good to see you got out with Simon and Greig. Did Greig try to lure the fish in with tea and sandwiches again?

Peter I would either try using colored line for the demo or using a lighter colored blue back ground. One of my favorite fly tiers (Davie McPhail) always wears a light denim shirt when he films what he is tying and has the camera set up so it is pointed at him. Other than that the video is pretty good.

Not sure if we are making down that way this year Tim. We are looking at Patagonia right now. Getting to NZ this year is expensive! Would love to fish rage with all the mates though… Maybe we need to have an international meeting somewhere that we ALL travel to? I bet Simon and Greig would be up for it!

Good stuff Tim. And what ever you do, don’t sell your stuff and pick up golf! I would make fun of you forever if you did that!

That is a nice Bull indeed Dave. I am a little surprised that he is allowing those smaller bulls to be in so close to the cows. We are full on in to the rut right now in MT and the big bulls don’t those smaller 5×5’s around.

As a former mullet guy I can assure you that you should keep up the harassment! Some things should stay in the Eighties….

I think that’s a congenital deformity, not some kind of injury, so he would have lived with it his whole life and presumably adapted.

No, I’m pretty sure that’s a relatively new hair do Tim’s sporting.  ;D

Hamish that is funny stuff right there!

My guess is that fish swam to close to Tim’s smelly feet… 😀
