    I was rather inspired by Zach’s knot tying videos and so I decided to do a video on making tapered leaders. This video covers both the blood knot and the perfection loop. Please let me know what you think.

    Peter I would either try using colored line for the demo or using a lighter colored blue back ground. One of my favorite fly tiers (Davie McPhail) always wears a light denim shirt when he films what he is tying and has the camera set up so it is pointed at him. Other than that the video is pretty good.

    Thanks Joel, I’ll keep that in mind. I am going to experiment with different set ups till I find on that I’m happy with.

    Bob, to be honest, I really like the way my camera angle is to. To be honest I really don’t like seeing a video when the tier is all fuzzy in the back ground.

    Dave, so far so good, I have not impaled myself yet. To be honest when tightening the loop I will use whatever is handy. As to the blood knots I can’t see why someone might want to use a tool. Less is more to me.
