New Years Eve I decided to try my luck at taking photos of fireworks. Having never done this before I was fairly pleased with the turn out but would like any tips that you all may have. Feel free to give me all the criticing you would like.
They look good to me Joel. Only thing I would try to improve on is foreground/surroundings. I find the firework images I like the most are those that are similar to nights capes. So part night sky and part foreground/surroundings. So basically these are about as well as you can get them, and next time you have a chance where a show is occurring with a lake/water in the fg etc, your good to go.
Thanks for the input John. These were blown off at the ranch and it was darker than the inside of a cow out so it made it tough from where I was standing to get any fore or back ground in the shots. I think if I were to do it again I would try and get closer as well but that might require me getting a wider angled lens too. I also thought that maybe if I was a little more elevated it would have helped as well.
