    Patrick,
Have fished the Sound from the beaches for sea-run cutts–you can be fishing within 30 min from Seatac.

    Free-man,
I understand that you are asking for a DT…I was also. I try to purchase equipment that will cover a range or variety of applications and tend to avoid highly specialized equipment.

6wt t3 was my first rod.  Still love to throw it.  Good or bad it has been a sort of barometer or comparison point for my future rod selections.  I’ve been a fisherman my whole life but am newer to fly fishing and feel that my style and stroke were certainly influenced by my first rod (likely the same is true for all of us).
The T3 falls into the middle of the fast action rods and has a stiffer tip section than most rods I have tried— when choosing future rods I have found myself leaning toward stiffer tipped rods.

Orvis rods and products dont seem to get a ton of respect in most fly fishing circles (unless you’re out east).  I have been quite satisfied w/ the quality and durability of thier products  and when not customer service has been great.  Just out of curiosity, what exactly do people not like about Orvis.  Is it because they are the 900lb corporate gorilla… heavy into marketing?  I personally think this plays a major role in peoples opnions

Have not fished Brekenridge area per say but could recommend an outfitter in the vail valley (one hill over) who I and some friends have had great experiences with… Gorsuch Outfitters.

Now about the one that got away…

Hooked into another good fish… some nice jumps— pretty brown.
As this fish gets close I notice something incredible…

thanks for the speedy reply guys.
Currently I have a Sage SLT 4wt and Orvis T3 6wt… the next logical rod to me would be an 8wt to round things out for my usual fishing suspects.
