My old aqua-stealths finally bit the dust this year and I picked-up a pair of G4s. I like the support.
I agree .. Personally, I dig the flares. This has been a great thread and made me a little more conscious and intentional about leaving the hood off for these types of shots.
I got on and read this thread earlier, but didn’t have a chance to comment. Super nice stuff. That B/W shot is a stunner!

RAW is a lossless file format <-- Link to info .. Prob not a big deal. The w80 looks like a great camera, especially on the river.
I have used one of the older models for a while and really liked it … Its actually still going strong after a number of years. Other than no RAW, the w80 looks like a great point and shoot.
