Im looking for some of the buggiest ugliest or prettiest big articulated or not streamer patterns you all throw for trout. I want to try them out on some of the WV waters that hold some big fish. If they are a secret feel free to pm me.

    Thanks,

    -Nate

I ditto on the Kelly Galloup streamers.  They are awesome…

    I’m a bit of a streamer addict

Like they all said, Galloup is the man when it comes to streamers.

You didnt go to the hospital just for that did you? (I only say that because of the bands on your left arm)

i was fishing solo and had not smashed down the barb. it was in deep.
    4x long streamer hook.

it was either break my cigar cutter and use the blade to cut it out, rip it out with hemostats with left hand (right handed) or keep it in. i didn’t want to bleed too much or get an infection. my leatherman was at home due to flight restrictions with carry on.

the last two days i’d been fishing with a paramedic, he’d have removed it.

the hospital wouldn’t give me a shot of lidocaine and a scalpel so they admitted me to the ER >:(

    btw,

Don’t forget that half the success of some of the Gallooup streamer patterns is by the way you fish them.

Here are a couple pics, from last week, of one of my “own” patterns .. Borrowed some ideas from other patterns and tried to dial-in colors that the fish seem to like, on the river I fish most frequently. Works pretty well articulated and non

This is an articulated fly I have been tying and fishing for a while.
