Brett…I know Corey has a Pelican Case with the divider set instead of the foam and I’m really digging that over the pull out foam.
Neal…I’ve traveled quite a bit with our Native Ultimate 14.5 Tandem on top of the Honda Element with a Yakima bars with no issue. We’ve made several trips from South Carolina to Michigan with any problems.
I agree that you need to be careful that you don’t stress the kayak with over pressure on your straps.
I don’t see a huge benefit to the added cost of the Yakima kayak cradles. The Native Ultimate is flat on both top and bottom so it can be secured easily with straps.
Tonight I am sending in my yearly T.U. membership online though I was more than a little put off hearing “shame on you” twice during the podcast to those that trout fish and are not T.U. members.
Zach…the quality of the podcasts is excellent and you’re routinely lining up interesting guests that I haven’t already heard on another podcast which is a huge success factor as well.
I’m ready for another all music podcast.
