MemberNot exactly the model you are looking for, but I have a 9′ #8 S4 that I am in love with for streamer chucking and bass fishing.

MemberUnder 100.00 is tough but I would seperate the legs from the head in your considerations. Great legs with a crappy head is just great legs. (rofl-

MemberA usefull place to start might be with your monitor- is it calibrated or close too and if so when you are doing image editing is the room lighting consistant/always the same? With both those taken care of – the above mentioned stuff about exposure/wb/post processing have a stable set of viewing conditions under which you could start making decisions on what to correct/adjust.
For what it is worth I just did a quick google on “Velvia look” and it seems like there are plugins and techniques that may get you where you wish to go in terms of post processing approaches.
hope that helps.

MemberJoel- I’m very much with you on the glove concept. I would add some type of gripper material to the palm side of the fingers and palm surface and they should be form fitting and be offered as regular or gauntlet style . I spend a stupid amount of time with my hands in rivers/creeks/lakes etc during bug hunting activities lifting rocks/timber or just sorting through samplers and have tried

MemberDavid- for years I have using a set of neoprene shin/leg guards over my breathables- old pair of neo waders cut to suit- works like a charm for bush and stream whacking.

MemberZach, the Northwest Arkansas Community College offers Fly Fishing and Fly Tying as a continuing education course.
Tyler Junior College in Texas also offers fly fishing classes.
And the Department of Intramural/Recreational Sports is sponsoring a new Fly Fishing Club at the University of Arkansas.

MemberHi Kendal- Ty for the link- I have seen that option and agree it looks like very interesting and fast. From what I understand he is working on a Pocket wizard /remote tether combo that might be even more tempting:)) camera and flash control combined:)))

MemberI’ve shot with a dedicated video cam a couple of years ago. Major problem was twofold. Files are massive and there is an enormous difference between editing vid and editing photo sequences . Two very different skills and in some some ways very much conflicting in terms of vocabulary I found . I’m sure there are maybe better editing software approaches, but I used Premiere and After Effects and found the whole experience so mind numbing I tossed the cam in a cupboard for the kids to discover at a later date:)))
I’m not so sure a “photographer” would make a good “videographer” and vis a versa so I find the trend towards combined bodies rather interesting.

MemberHi
Diana/Holga/etc stuff has such a unique look that is so engaging compared to the rather clinical more tech controled stuff that makes it always interesting to see .
Only crit might be that unless you had told me- I would never have twigged that the subject was Tenkara fishing.
