Nice set of photos Dusty !
You’re lucky if your wife wants to fish –
My wife was interested in fly fishing for a couple years before we got married, but now is happy to get rid of me for a few days.. 😉

    I feel you there David.

Scot are you saying if I know a Master they can’t test me? I’m pretty sure the rules state you can’t be taught by them or tutored prior to the test.

I’m rather fortunate, and know a few masters in the SW.  They will be certifying me independently instead of waiting for a group event.  I’ve been practicing every Tuesday now for a year and half with Larry Allen, a Master CCI down here in Az.

If I hadn’t had been through this myself, I wouldn’t believe it; but, I catch more fish now that I can throw the line. Sounds ridiculous, I’m sure. I still remember when I use to say, “I can catch more fish than most, I don’t need to master the casting part of it.”  Amazing how my perception has changed being on the other side of that now.

Just my thoughts, not trying to slam anyone for not wanting to pursue their CCI or anything.

Mike just supports the thought that it’s not the camera, but the user. Great job, really nice pictures, of some really nice bows.

I had a writer send me a piece today on Christmas Tree lake, an Apache Trout hot spot.  His work was beatuiful, reminded me of how special our state is.  The title of his piece was “Angling at the Juncture of the Sun and the Moon.”

Most people don’t even know the names of the two creeks(Sun & Moon) that flow into and out of Christmas tree, heck most people for that matter think Apaches are Cutts. It just struck me as a magnificent way to title an article about an extrodanary place.  I can say, after reading his work, I wish I had half his wit and skill with a pen and pad.  Reminded me of how special a craft it is to be able to put your thoughts into words, and how far I have yet to go.
