    The Itinerant Angler

    Hey Zach,

    Please post this on IA.

Here are my photo needs for the November/December issue of American Angler. I need submissions by Monday, August 11, please.

1.Photos of anglers with BROKEN RODS. (Horizontal and vertical)

    2. Photos of anglers with TRUE MONSTER FISH (only species I’m NOT looking for is brown trout). Please send images only if the fish is absolutely huge. (Horizontal and vertical)

    3. Beautiful steelhead grip-n-grin. Looking for a gorgeous shot, not necessarily a monster fish. Beautiful Pacific Northwest scenery a plus. (Horizontal and vertical)

    4. Horizontal images of the Pere Marquette River. Angler fishing or grip-n-grin.

Please make submissions via email (lo res only), Web site lightbox, or mailed CD. No slides, please. (Technology marches on!)

    Submit to: americanangler@gmail.com

Let me add that we’re always looking for great Table of Contents shots, as well. That’s a spread photo with some good solid or dark background areas for the type. Chad’s image from the Jul/Aug issue is a good example: cool image, compelling subject, plenty of room for type.

    Thanks,

    Phil

Damn, Mike. Talk about grip and grin. 😉 Or maybe that’s ‘grippin’ grin’. 😮 Love it.

Hey Zach’s point 2 said, only thing they did’nt want was Browns…

And Franie take great pics, you gotto see some of his Pics from Cosmolido(sp).

And that should read, “grip(well back from head) and grin real quick”, not really something you want flapping around in the boat…

The friend I normally fish brought his newly finished Granger Boo to christen the last time we went a out few weeks agot. The mid section at a ferrule, snapped on a fish. I had a couple images of him fighting the brown broken rod and all :). Prety sure Ive purged the trash bin since.

Spose I could contact and do a mock. He hasnt received the replacement blank yet .
    Ah, well. Things we learn.
