    Hey guys –

I don’t have a price quote yet but I don’t think these are going to be super expensive.

It’s the length of the blank, so various makers’ hardware will stack up differently.

    Hey Jay –

Interesting that you mention that because Eden Cane is Scott Bamboo.

Mine is the 8’8″ 5 weight, which is about as fine a trout fishing stick as I’ve ever held.

Now to answer a few questions.

Carter, no, to my knowledge the company is still owned by Ross Hauck (sic?); they have simply changed design mentalities somehow.

Steve, if you are talking about the new top-end TFO, if I recall correctly it is a 10th anniversary rod that was also green. I can’t remember if it was from the Finesse or Professional lines but the fits and finish were comparable to, say, a top end St. Croix rod.

DPeurach, I did look at the new 7 weight G2.

Good shot, nice f-stop selection for the blur. I agree that that’s great work for a first try. Here’s what I’d do to tweak it:

    1) Get closer.

We’ve added The Angling Exploration Group (on world travel and flyfishing) and Conway Bowman (on flyfishing for mako shark!) to the Podcast list for upcoming interviews.

It’s a complicated tie and I’d need to look up all the steps, guys, but it has a zonker strip back, a tinsel-dubbing silver belly, some red tinsel for gills, rubber legs, a cone head with a spun deer hair head behind it.

Guys I’m covering the show for American Angler and I’m basically running full speed all day, so I apologize for the terse reviews.
