First of all, I am moving this thread to the Writing section where others with similar questions are likely to look for it.
In terms of getting published, there is a sort of process.
I recorded James Prosek’s podcast last night, but it will not run for another two weeks, because Nick Lyons is coming up on Monday.
Moreover, should you ever break your rod, Scott will repair it for a $135 charge including shipping costs even though you are not the original owner.
I’d have to see it to know if it was factory built or not, but you are describing a factory design. Does the Scott logo look like the Scott logo above, but hand-written? If so, that’s factory; few custom makers would even attempt that script work. A factory 906 G in good condition is probably worth about $275-325 now; you got a steal.

I am with Bob. You have almost certainly got a Scott G on your hands (G906 would be a standard “G” in 9-foot six weight). The “glassi-ness” you are seeing is most likely the unsanded gray blank. Does it have spiral wraps on it, like a snake belly? That’s a classic hallmark of the G series (including the current G2). Most old Gs were wrapped in ruby red with a composite cork cap on the front of the grip (also found on the G2).
That’s a very coveted rod.
