Speaking of painting, what about using some of that border stuff in the color of brookie or rainbow.
Incredible Timing!! I’m going to be in the same area for spring break too! It will be our first trip to Arkansas. The kids, all five, are looking forward to Dry Run Creek. As far as the Little Red, can you recommend some good areas to visit and flies to ues?
I too, like the look of laminate bamboo flooring. It’s very strong, durable and I guess it’s as green as other types of wood laminate. I’ve never heard of cork being used for flooring and am having a difficult time visualizing how it would be used. It would seem to be way too soft. I imagine it would be fairly expensive too. I’d be curious to see how it is used.
Jeff has a good point on green and money. How do you define green. Is it recycled material? Does it have a lower cost to produce or a longer life?
Go to bass pro, cabelas, sportsman’s warehouse, etc. and go for a nice pair of bootfoot gortex waders.
And here I thought labrati was starting off with a joke: “Drop your waders let’s check under the hood”
I love Scott rods. They’re a joy to cast. The medium action is so nice. It seems like everything is moving towards fast action to ultra fast action. I’m not a good enough caster to handle that; I like the slower action and being able to feel the rod load and unload. This comes in handy when fishing in the moonlight. But that’s another story. 😎

Great Comments all the way around. So here’s my two cents. Sling shots, arrows, and guns if over-shot may cause unwanted attention to your plight. An air-rifle (aka bb or pellet gun) will do the job quite nicely and if you miss your target should not cause any undo damage.
Pros for slaying said rabbit:
DIY strips for your own flies can be fun and rewarding.
rabbit stew could be a nice change from beef, chicken, fish, elk, etc.
since mr rabbit has already found a ms rabbit, little baby rabbits are on the way. They will dig under your side walk, your porch. Eat your wife’s flowers, etc.
Cons:
Your wife may be a tad bit upset as the rabbit is cute and cuddly, but once you explain how you are proactively protecting her flowerbed, etc. She’ll come around in a month or two.Have fun 😉 As Elmer Fudd put it “We’re huntin’ wabbit”
North of Denver offers some real neat small streams. I am saddened by the beetle problems that have really impacted the scenery though. I was expecting tall pristine pines and the ones we saw up by Winter Park and Rocky Mountain National Park looked like they were on death’s door. I wouldn’t rule it out, the mountains are gorgeous, but be prepared for lots of area being clear cut. As for fishing, there are tons of small streams and ponds, etc. Lots of fun!!
I prefer more of the southern area, Arkansas River Valley headwaters, eleven mile canyon, and south platte. My favorite is fishing some of the small ponds on the mountains. Coming from Missouri, it is just too cool to be fishing on some pond 11,000 ft above sea level. Even in the summer time, the temperature is still great.
Personally, you can’t go wrong. It’s a great state, friendly folks and all kinds of fishing. With two weeks to spend, you can experience a lot.
My goto trout rod is a Scott Voyager 5 wt with Rio 6wt line and a Ross flystart reel. For smaller streams I go with my Scott A2 3wt with Rio 3wt wf line and a Ross flystart reel.
For windier days and pond or lake fishing, I’ll go with my TFO Pro 6wt, line Basspro special, and no name reel. Works good except on some of those zonkers and big plugs. They make one appreciate a jacket and full rimmed hat. ::)

But I’ll continue. 😉 Look on apple’s website, they have refurbished ipods at about $100 off. Even if you go new, you can’t beat the ipod, it’s simple to use, setup, etc. I have a 30 gig and love it. I have all of my Itinerant Angler PodCasts and music on it. As far as the 20 somethings having the lock on it, my dad and mom, both in their 60’s each have one and love it. It’s the only techno thing they own, that they haven’t called me for help or support. As for the XP PC, let’s just say I get more calls than a son deserves. 😀
