You also have to wear a glove or some protection on your stripping finger when casting because it will file through your finger after a few casts.

I was thinking the same thing, however, your line rarely goes through the same place in your guides every time.
It seems that the other posts on this thread are more experienced than what I know but here is my two cents.
I’ve had success based around one thing…the slow strip.
I have no doubts that Landon is a spectacular fisherman and I would love to spend a day and learn some of his techniques.
There is a lot of debate around this topic but in my experience night fishing, ANY light is bad light.
