I am pretty much coming to the conclusion that I fall down in rocks too much to own a reel with low dent tolerance.  Sorry, but I’m not one of those guys who will break his fall with body parts to protect gear – if a rod or reel has to land between me and a rock, well, that’s why I pay extra for the lifetime warranties.

I need something where I can knock a notch into the metal and have it still survive.  That seems to mean I have to use much heavier (and probably uglier) reels than the one you’ve got.

I’m just not cut out to own nice stuff.
