I’ll agree that “better” is a relative term.
Matt (or anyone else) – I really want to replace the cork on both of my BVK’s – is this do-able while keeping the existing reelseat?
It can be done.
Matt: The trip across the desert was actually very pleasant! That car just glides. Plus the comfort of AAA made it fairly stress free. lol. 😉
Anytime your on the way to an epic fishing trip the drive is usually pleasant 🙂
For those of us who have never seen such places, do you have any pics of the vast Northern Nevada landscape?
Building your first rod can be a trying experience and will set the tone for your future involvement in the craft.
No pics handy to share but I have been lucky enough to take a casting lesson from Mr. Clouser which completely changed my technique and skill level.
I can’t speak to it’s “green” attributes but as a custom rod builder I can speak of corks increased cost over the past few years.
If you make it up to PA to fish with Paul, swing down through the south eastern part of the state on your way home and you’ll have a trip on the smallmouth factory Susquehanna River.
