The new Sage Bluegill rod might be a winner. When i cast there new rig trout streamers was the first thing that came to mind.
A easy casting gun.. don’t let the bluegill name fool you.
This rod can chuck a swimming Jimmy just fine.

The flex index is complete BULL.
There is no constant in the system some mid flex are stiffer than a tip flex and so on.
Don’t get me wrong the Helios is a earth shaker and the Clearwater 2 is a great value rod.
But I find the flex rating confusing to everyone.

Go to a shop cast the rods and buy the one you like.

Does any sun block not give the in the eyes burn if sweating.
Man it hurts an you are freaking blind. Take your water bottle and dump it in your eyes ASAP. The only fix I have found.
Then put more block on once dry.

Gave up the vest and went to Dragonfly for all fishing.
My back loves me and i found i never need all that stuff i was carrying.
Fits water, 2 large C&F and the rest of what i need. + half a foot long in the other water pocket or my Brodin staff the “shark poker” if flats fishing.
Use as a lumbar spin around waist to get in and out. If going deep just hang around neck for the crossing.
The new pack from fish pond the Arroyo is very small a one box pack.

Cut it off and try one more. You have at least 12 inches+ before you change the way the line casts. That knot needs to be on the braid.
No harm in tying knot on the braid and trimming the braid behind the knot.

If you like to kick back after reading all the hard core FF stuff.
Try Joseph Heywood, woods cop mystery series.
And Randy Wayne White, Doc Ford series.

Two very good FF authors that write murder mystery also.
    just plain fun.

I am going to pay for this. But this truck has been flawless so far..to bad it full of dog hair.
Some day i will have a vintage fishing fishing truck…i would kill to have my old 1976 Chevrolet Blazer Cheyenne back. That was a cool truck.

LOOP traditional reels . The best non drag simple smooth reel for all fish.
As far as I know they created the first “large arbor” reel and never used that as a marketing hook.
Also the Abel CREEK is great single action reel.. A step up from the great TR series.
