MemberDude, they are carp.
Mark Landerman
MemberThanks. Here is another fly in the mouth you may enjoy.

and this………

Mark Landerman
MemberDon’t bother with the spawners………….they won’t touch your fly. I know it is very hard to see a 10 lb fish launch out of the water and not cast to it, but all you will be doing is practicing casting.
There will be some that aren’t involved in the spawn so search for those. You will have much better luck getting them to eat your fly.
Keep a small bottle of pure vanilla in your vest and dip the fly prior to casting to carp…30% more eats.
Good idea. I have put some carp flies in a bag of coffee grounds before…….but I can’t wait to try this.

MemberThe cheekers were stacked up like pigs going to the slaughter Sunday. Banged a ton of them………even got my two nicest trout of the year. I think that winter has loosened its kung-fu grip and things are starting to turn around. Soon, the annual pilgrimage to Rocker, MT will happen, thus stating that Summer has officially begun.
You better be ready, Ron!

And too many outside YNP.

MemberI have rowed Clack, Hyde, RO, HI, BBW, and Freestones……..and I would have to say that the BBW is the sweetest ride to row on the drink.

MemberI got a new reel, but I haven’t replaced my camera since it broke. So I drew a sketch of it instead.

MemberJoel,
Are you offering to send me some new line, or do I have to wait to get some?
Mark Landerman
MemberCalm down, sparky. I am pretty sure Joel can get away with under 20 patterns and doesn’t need to carry everything and the kitchen sink. One beast for terrestrials, one for streamers, and use smaller boxes (like the C&F………..which can hold quite a few) for mayflies, one for caddis, one for worms/eggs, etc. Get a piece of foam and stick it next to your seat, but just make sure to put them away at the end of the day.
