Thanks for all your kind words, The b&b tube fly is tied with a foam head.
You could use deer hair but foam is a lot faster and easier.The lighting set-up is pretty straight forward, just one sb-900 with a lastolite softbox. I photographed it on a small glass table. If you put your flash really close to your subject and use a small aperture say f26-f22 etc. the background will become black. Even in this case with the background being my wooden floor. I you have to much ambient light a black towel does the trick. Same goes for a pure white background, flash the background on full power, the color doesn’t matter at all.

If you want to make close-up foto’s you’ll need a macro lens. They aren’t cheap but they can double as a great portret lens! Nikon has a 60mm 2.8 and a 105mm 2.8. I have added some pics taken with the 105.

A pretty cool thing to have besides lenses camera’s flashes etc. is a small reflector! Works great! and is very affordable. You can get a decent sized one with a gold and silver side for around $25. Or buy a

But if I were you I would look for a shop in the USA, because of the

Thanks, I know there’s a lot of info on youtube etc. but I would really like to hear some of your thoughts! Maybe it’s me but I think those shoulder rig’s are very expensive! I’ll keep trying to find something good and affordable. Chase jarvis has some cool stuff on youtube b.t.w!
