    If you are thinking about floating I would suggest putting in on the Buffalo and then floating part of the white (I think the take out is Buffalo Shoals but check the NPS maps).

    PS –

    Have you been spinning deer hair with Kevlar thread lately?  Kevlar is *really* strong; it could easily pull a burr out of a cheap aluminum bobbin.

    No kevlar but I do use alot of GSP with deer hair- I think its time for the new bobbin-
    Any recommendations?

    I second the Filson option- I scored one on e-bay for 40 bucks- you can’t go wrong. Warm, windproof, durable.
