I’m headed that way mid- March. Probably going to set up in Townsend for a few days and fish around. Only fished the Hiwassee once. Camped at the campground in Reliance and fished up from there. (wading) Lots of 12″s

I went to the Scadden website and they have a step by step on putting the Sunrise ST together. Just looking at it makes it look heavy. They were smart though, they have female doing the assembly. I did see they offer a wheel attachment option which would definitely make getting to the river easier.

Lots of info of choices out there. I’m looking also. Based on everyone’s feedback, I think I’ve narrowed my search down to either a North Fork’s Henry’s Fork,

or the Creek Company ODC 915

I think the biggest issue will be the weight factor. I think the ODC weighs in at 65lbs and I’m not sure about the NF. Whatever you give up in weight you will be sacrificing in durability. I want to be able to carry it at least a few feet if I have to.
I’m trying to do as much research and opinion searching as I can, as this is a pretty big purchase. I’ve got a 16′ kayak at home that I need to get rid of first. That’s what I’ve used for the past 8 years.

It was the largest I caught on a fly. Caught it on the Anvik River in Alaska. Awesome trip. 6 fathers and sons. Not sure who had the most fun. We also caught Char, Greyling and a couple nice Kings.
And the King Crab legs were as big as my arm 😛

Great. They have a 6′ – 2wt for $89.00. Might be a little light, but the replacement deal is nice to have.
