There are plenty of these types of cats in Atlanta and the surrounding area. Close encounters can sometimes be very disturbing.

I have caught some in DH section on the Hooch. Heard rumors that DNR have shocked some nice size ones.

Have any of you ever striper fished in the Saldua? I am planning to try it out this summer and catch a Yardcocks series.

I grew up with Labs but rescued a Chessie about two years ago through an adoption agency. From what I’ve been told, as a breed, they aren’t as freindly as Labs. If someone walks up on him he can get a little edgy and will growl if a stranger is yelling at him.

    Zach,

Never met the guy personally, but I think Kent Edmonds would make a great podcast interview. Here’s his website: http://www.flyfishga.com/

He’s a warmwater expert who specializes in Shoal Bass, Gar, and Stripe/Whites Bass. Really nice guy.

Ditto on Kent. He’s a really nice guy and a guru with the warmwater species in GA

Thanks for the advice, I think I am going to keep it simple and take them down to a cigar style.

I haven’t seen any but have heard there are some monsters. I have seen some big one in Gold Branch, right below Morgan Falls in Roswell. It was this summer and was in my yak. I couldn’t get them to take anything, but they all over the place.

That’s horrible. Sorry to hear. I think I would be gearing up to fight those charges.

I have the 5 wt and use it out my kayak. I don’t like carrying my Sage in the yak for fear of flipping but the Eagle Claw is great. It can bass bugs really well. You can’t beat the price, and if it gets tossed out of the boat I’m not out an arm and a leg.

I have a Cortland 444 Change a Tip line on there now. Will the running line from this still be ok with the head? Thanks for all the advice

The 410 is a fraternity initiation number from the college years. Keep it simple for the various logins. I do enjoy bird hunting but am not a good enough shot yet for a 410
