Jay MalyonMemberJust got off the phone with the shipping company. Looks like this is happening. I ought to have my hands on it by Tuesday morning at the latest.

Jay MalyonMemberYeah man! That’s why I’m freaking out! I would love to know what the hell happened to that thing.
Jay MalyonMemberIt it were me, this would be billboard sized on the side of my house.

Jay MalyonMemberI thought about that yesterday, but it looks like shipping is not going to be as pricey as I initially thought.
I actually just got back from paying for it. Looks like I am now an official drift boat owner! Now I just have to accomplish the small task of shipping it from one coast to another. I think I am going to leave it on CL just to keep my options open until the very last second.Once / If I get it here to GA I will start a new thread on the rebuild process. It should be interesting for sure…
Jay MalyonMemberWhich Jackson boat is that? That thing looks beefy.

Jay MalyonMemberJust out of reach. I could have it sent to a storage unit up there, but still have no idea how to get it here cheap.
Jay MalyonMemberGood stuff. I love tying musky flies. Unfortunately, muskies do not like eating them.
Jay MalyonMemberStarting to look like this may be the only fish this summer…
Jay MalyonMemberI have always wanted to do that. There is some really cool footage of striper flats fishing in the Connect DVD.
That’s a cool site too.
Jay MalyonMemberHow far is the closest oil rig?
Jay MalyonMemberI knew that one looked familiar…
Jay MalyonMemberI forget how I found these but I stumbled across them while looking for a known manufacturers reels online.
Looks like they have pretty much every reel copied.

Jay MalyonMemberEnjoyed this one. I’m itching to get after some reds this summer now.
Jay MalyonMemberThe sports authority near the river had that convertible stand up Carlisle paddle for around $80 the other day. I was looking at them for the same reason and will probably end up with that one. Carlisle makes a solid paddle.
Jay MalyonMemberThat is a good looking rig.
Jay MalyonMemberThe ramp in Franklin is the one I have used. I dont recommend using the bathrooms there. At all.
Jay MalyonMemberI have heard ghost stories of stripers eating stockers behind the truck and stealing snits off the end of lines. I have fished through the winter in the hooch only further south above West Point. I have caught them there up to 18lbs. in 3 feet of water.
I believe there is a large migration of the majority of the fish every year but there have to be some residents. I have seen plenty of pics of guys catching them in the rivers above Lanier through the winter so I don’t know why West Point wouldn’t be any different, especially with the food being stocked regularly.
Jay MalyonMemberI use the Simms pack strapped to the back of the seat on my kayak and it has done well for a little over a year. I am able to fit quite a bit of gear in it and it has held up. It would be nice if it were more water resistant.
Jay MalyonMemberAwesome photos man and I really enjoyed reading about your trip. I read an article about that place in the October 2010 issue of Adventure Fishing and have been freaking out to go ever since. Looks like an amazing experience.
