Just got off the phone with the shipping company. Looks like this is happening. I ought to have my hands on it by Tuesday morning at the latest.
I thought about that yesterday, but it looks like shipping is not going to be as pricey as I initially thought.
I actually just got back from paying for it. Looks like I am now an official drift boat owner! Now I just have to accomplish the small task of shipping it from one coast to another. I think I am going to leave it on CL just to keep my options open until the very last second.Once / If I get it here to GA I will start a new thread on the rebuild process. It should be interesting for sure…

I have heard ghost stories of stripers eating stockers behind the truck and stealing snits off the end of lines. I have fished through the winter in the hooch only further south above West Point. I have caught them there up to 18lbs. in 3 feet of water.
I believe there is a large migration of the majority of the fish every year but there have to be some residents. I have seen plenty of pics of guys catching them in the rivers above Lanier through the winter so I don’t know why West Point wouldn’t be any different, especially with the food being stocked regularly.
I use the Simms pack strapped to the back of the seat on my kayak and it has done well for a little over a year. I am able to fit quite a bit of gear in it and it has held up. It would be nice if it were more water resistant.
