Great trip man and those pictures came out really good. I totally see where the mountain trout stream guys are coming from now. Looking forward to getting back up there.

I love Hilton Head. I would definitely bring my own yak and launch at the ramp under the bridge near Palmetto Bay marina. There is so much water to explore around that area and its all crawling with reds and flounder. Hit the Black Marlin afterwards. I would also recommend stopping by the Frosty Frog and getting a large Dirty Monkey to go. 😉

Haha, yeah I heard the CRV would make a good zombie apocalypse mobile due to its four wheel drive capability, fuel economy, and readily available parts.

That stripe looks like he could use a good meal.

Zach, this kind of info should not be free! If Andy Mill can get $100 for a tarpon book you ought to be able to get at least $19.99 for that post.

    I totally agree about the

This is the kayak I have, which is a rebranded last-gen Wilderness Systems Tarpon. Its made by the same parent company with the same materials as the more advanced yet more expensive WS. I have had it for 2 years now and have been very pleased with it.http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_196951_-1?N=581132415#BVRRWidgetID

After seeing Scott Kitchens on the water one afternoon, I came home and ordered these inflatable pontoon outriggers right away.

These outriggers are amazing and an absolute game changer as far as fly fishing in a sit on top goes. I have only been out twice with them and I have already seen, and cast to, fish I normally would have paddled over.

Looks a lot better than my first one. Only tie in 10’s and you will be amazed how fast your skills improve.

Nice. Now I have to fight the urge not to listen to it so I can save it for the ride to work.

Sounds like your gonna need quite a bit of glass then. I’m in smyrna. I sell paint and body shop materials for a living. I can get mat, resin, fiberglass filler, rollers, tape, paint, and all kinds of other stuff at distributor price. I can mix any color paint you want too. We met at the river last summer…

Hell yeah, I like the yeti illustration. That is pretty much exactly how I am laying mine out. I have been slacking on starting a thread about the build.

Just put the rod tubes in last weekend. I still have to finish them off and glass them in, but the hard part is done.

Check out this stuff for the interior. Its supposed to be really tough and hides any imperfections.

That’s a strong showing of some fly caught stripes. What flies did those big boys eat?
