MemberI need another rod about as much as I need a hole in my head, but I am thinking that 5wt G is looking pretty tempting . . .

MemberMike,
Just to make the picture a little more interesting, I noticed that Scott has reissued two G series rods as part of their Classic program. You can get the 8’4″ G in a 4 and 5 weights right now. I have fished both the G2 and the G (which I own in the 884 configuration) and like the G better. I like mine with an SA XPS line, although they tend to kink up a bit.
Cheers,
Jay

MemberI highly recommend Ted Leeson’s Inventing Montana. If you’re between 30 and 50 and know the Madison Valley, you’ll simply appreciate the quality and thoughtfulness of the prose. If you’re over 50, you’ll get it.
Must agree heartily with this recommendation.

MemberHey guys –
Got someone lined up but it’s fallen through before. If it goes as planned, it’ll be a great interview.
Zach
Not the infamous Tom Bie interview, is it?!?!

MemberWhere’s the love for High Country Flies?
Jack Dennis and Westbank are overrated.
+1 for High Country Flies. They have always been good to me when I have visited their shop. Don’t overlook Flat Creek, it is my favorite place up there. Challenging, but well worth it (sorry for the poor pic quality).
