As usual the Chattooga was a great time. We all caught fish and the scenery can’t be beat for our slice of the world.

I walked onto a large rock that held several pools of water and into a toad orgy. The large toads were thick all weekend and gave the dog something to do.

Mike volunteered to finish off the mini-keg as he was lifting it into the air.

And the fishing was good, with my dad catching a toad of his own.

    Fantastic pictures.

How is water generally managed in NZ? Could anyone with the capacity to get to this lake fish it? Are most of the rivers public or private? Thanks and sorry for getting off topic.

A thread entitled “Toccoa River info. and update” from october of 2010 on http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/ngto/ summarizes the public forum held by TVA, and GADNR. There are also many more threads on NGTO that discuss the issues related to the lake Blue Ridge dam repair.

The repairs include oxygenators which should greatly improve the fishery in years to come.

So you finally decided to get back to the vice. Can I borrow some flies tomorrow?

    Zach,

Thats a nice brown there. I believe you passed us early in our float. Glad you had a good time as well. That is the first time I have harvested any trout in a long time, but it was pretty cool to eat them that fresh.
