After a couple months of basically being chained to my desk, I finally arrived at the light at the end of the tunnel. That just so happened to coincide with a visiting professor from the states not-so-subtly dropping hints that he really wanted some fishing info. I figured I’d do him one better and take him on a quick trip to see if we could find some fish.
We saw some nice water on the first day:

And before long, got him into a fish (and showed incredible self-restraint by not throwing his bright red hat in the garbage the moment he put it on):

The day proved to be a good one, with a steady stream of browns and bows responding to both dries and nymphs:

I managed to find a suitable option for the obligatory IA Food Shot along the way:

And after spending all day hopping boulder-to-boulder, an actual trail was a very welcomed change of pace for the last km or two back to the car:

Day two picked up right where day one left off:

It was smaller water, but it still produced a day full of respectable fish that were willing to rise ever so slowly to our offerings of big, fluffy dries:

I snapped a couple of the obligatory grip and grins throughout the trip for him to take home:

And before either of us were ready for it to end, it was time to head back to the office.
