Damn…this is the thread that has stopped this board dead in it’s tracks for the past twenty-four hours or so!
Abe…if you’re looking at a small stream four weight and want to look at a different Scott then give the “F” series a look.
Yes…it’s fiberglass…but these are a snappy little fly rod. This series is the most graphite feeling fiberglass rod I’ve ever messed around with. They are on the fast side of glass but when you hook a fish you can feel it into the cork.
I have the seven foot three weight and they also make a seven and a half foot four weight. Worth a look.
Dusty…Breckenridge has a lot of lodging options. We’ve stayed at the Breckenridge Main Street Station a few trips ago. It was a really nice place and the location was perfect for skiing, finding food, and the Breckenridge Brewery is just across the street.
We’ve stayed at Copper Mountain the next year and there are many options there.
Oh…for a simple place in Frisco with great rates we’ve stayed at The Hotel Frisco a couple of times.
