MemberG’day Eric, I have a German Wirehaired Pointer and her name is. ‘Gillie’. I named her after my Great Grandfather who was a Gillie in Scotland.
I have had Labs and German Shorthairs, she is the best dog I have ever had. A great allround dog here in Southern Australia, ย no fear, great on both deer and birds.Cheers Boydo.

MemberG’day guys, I also have a preference for the House of Hardy. My favorite 6wt reel is the Ultralite Disc #6. I have been using this particular reel for close to 20 years and has never missed a beat.
Cheers Boydo. ๐

MemberThank you for reminding me about the Murray Cod Wet :-[. They are quite close to home, as a matter of fact one of my mates caught a 87cm fish the other day! Not on a fly though.
It could be worse David, it could be Southwark YUK!Cheers Boydo.
PS. Yes I do have mates ๐

MemberIn and around Melbourne we have opportunities at all types of fish and types of fishing. We have a lot of trout waters within a three hour drive and as we are situated on Port Phillip we have salt water as well.
The main species that I target in Port Phillip are Australian Salmon, Silver and Black Bream, Tailor, Silver Trevally and Flathead.
Callum is right about Fosters as I don’t know any Aussies that touch the stuff. Cascade Pale Ale or Little Creatures Pale are my favorite tipples ๐Cheers Boydo.
