G,day there fellas. My name is Boyd Wilson and I am new to the forum. As you can probably tell I am from Australia as well as quite a few of your members. I have been fly fishing for about 20 or years so in both fresh and salt water and am looking forward to some interesting discussions on all thing s fly fishing. 🙂
In and around Melbourne we have opportunities at all types of fish and types of fishing. We have a lot of trout waters within a three hour drive and as we are situated on Port Phillip we have salt water as well.
The main species that I target in Port Phillip are Australian Salmon, Silver and Black Bream, Tailor, Silver Trevally and Flathead.
Callum is right about Fosters as I don’t know any Aussies that touch the stuff. Cascade Pale Ale or Little Creatures Pale are my favorite tipples 😛
Thank you for reminding me about the Murray Cod Wet :-[. They are quite close to home, as a matter of fact one of my mates caught a 87cm fish the other day! Not on a fly though.
It could be worse David, it could be Southwark YUK!
